I am opening this up to more folks and revising the plan of meeting at a local cupcakery to meeting somewhere else and bringing our own cupcakes. I am proposing Dolores Park assuming it will be a great day... Note: There is no limit to how many folks can sign up.

We will park it by the little bundle of trees to the left of the tennis courts. This provides easy access to Dolores Park Cafe for drinks or whatever. Bring something to sit on... like a blanket or chair.

would it be possible to make the rsvp amount 30 (since we're at 28) and add me? I'd love to come.

Is there a Bay Area bakery that has an outdoor space nearby that we could walk to?

Here in lies the problem - there are way too many people interested for us to show up at a bakery. Any bakery I know of in the city would not accomodate over 25 people.. And again, we would make the cupcake swap optional... Anyway, at this point anything is fine with me, I am guaranteed to not please everyone - thats for sure!

I like the idea of going to a park and I am happy to make cupcakes, but I don't need or even want the 24 cupcakes back that I would get in a swap. What would I do with them all? I'd just have to take them to work on Monday (and I don't really like my co-workers that much). That's the part I like about going to a bakery, I could buy just one cupcake to eat.

Valid points I suppose, but I don't want to limit folks for the first time out. So, I will make the cupcake swap optional with a 24 person limit. If you sign up for the swap and bring the cupcakes then you get to partake.

I would prefer we go to a place that makes cupcakes for our first meeting so that I can get some ideas to make better cupcakes. If we arent't going to a place that has cupcakes, then are we doing a cupcake swap? If we are, then shouldn't 24 be the cap for attendees and cupcakes?

That was the plan... but then I expected only a handful of people to accept. But interest is quite large, so I am thinking maybe bake around and meet somewhere like Dolores Park (if its nice)... Thoughts?

Is the plan (to the extent there is one...) still to meet at a bakery, rather than some or all of us baking cupcakes ourselves? Just curious.
