I wouldn't miss this for the world! I had already planned to come to the event, as I've known and worked with Karen and Alan for years. However, this will be my first Cupcakes Take the Cake meetup, so I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Can't wait! The book is soooooo amazing!!!

I can't wait to attend, I am sooooo excited! I just bought the book over the weekend, and had no idea that this meeting would be going on involving this book. I have so many cupcake ideas in my head. I live in Maryland and when I found out about this cupcake meeting, I knew I hadt make my way to New York next week.

will we be able to buy the book there?

Who attended?

    •  I wouldn't recommend this venue again, but I'm sure everyone who went already knows that. Sounds like the M&M people said one thing and did another. The people in the group were great, though, so I'm looking forward to more Cupcake meetups.
    •  This would have been my first cupcake meet-up. I think this would have been a better event at a different venue. I love the book and Karen and Alan are cupcake ROCKSTARS. Maybe I'll meet up with the cupcake meetup next time! Sorry

The Meetup was extremely crowded. Why did we have to RSVP and be limited to one guest when anyone in the store could have attended the event? It didn't make sense. It was not a very good event for new members. Everyone joining the line kept asking if they were in the right place for the meet-up. Several people got frustrated and left. The book, of course is fabulous. It would have been nice to hear Karen and Alan talk about the book. They looked frantic trying to help everyone in line decorate cupcakes. A less noisy space (and less crowded) would have been ideal.

I met some very cool girls and had a chance to decorate my cupcake, it was fun! Thanks Nichelle:)
    •  too crowded with outside folks, but i got to decorate my own cupcake which was cool
    •  This was my first meeting, and I was disappointed that we were in the middle of chaos at the m&m store. From talking to some members, I understand that it is normally a private affair. So I will go to the next meeting, if possible and give it a shot. Everyone I met was really nice and friendly, so that also is an incentive.
